Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the world most famous Safari Parks situated in the south-west of Kenya attached to the border to Tanzania and Serengeti National park.
Masai Mara is owned by the Massai people and administered by the local county council.
Even today you can find more animals in this area, especially predators like lion, leopard and cheetah, than usual. During the Great Migration, when enormous amounts of Wildebeast, Zebra and other animals come up to Masai Mara from Serengeti to find enough food and water, the park is crowded with animals. In this time you can be lucky to see one of the spectacular river crossings when hundreds or maybe thousands of Wildebeast and Zebras cross the river, filled with Crocodiles and Hippos.
And don`t miss to meet the people. A visit in a Massai village or maybe in a school can be arranged. See how they live and enjoy the hospitality of the african people.
